Spiced Ginger Tea


Cooking Time

Simmer 2 - 3 Hours

Ingredients

1# organic ginger root, peeled & chopped in pieces

1 navel orange, quartered

2-3 cinnamon sticks

1/4 # fresh turmeric or 2 TBL ground

1/2 TBL coarse black pepper

6 whole cloves

raw honey to sweeten should a person choose


Directions

Place all ingredients in pot, cover with 8 cups water.  Bring pot to a full boil, lower temperature to low and simmer for 2-3 hours.  Strain and store in refrigerator in a glass jar.  An excellent brew either hot or cold.
